This Privacy Policy explains what information Mountain Melodies collects, why we collect it, how we use it, when we share it, and how you can request correction or deletion. It applies to the Mountain Melodies Android app, website, listener account, artist/admin tools, payment flows, playback service, and support channels.
1. Privacy contact
For privacy, payment, account, deletion, or rights questions, contact [email protected] or use the support/account area inside the app. Include the phone number used for login and any payment reference if the request relates to a payment.
2. Information we collect

3. Information we do not need
Mountain Melodies is not designed to collect your phone contacts, precise location, health data, microphone recordings, camera images, SMS content, call logs, or the list of apps installed on your device. If a future feature needs a sensitive Android permission, we will explain the purpose before asking for that permission.
4. How we use information
- To create and secure listener accounts.
- To verify payments and provide paid access.
- To stream protected audio and reduce unauthorized sharing.
- To keep playback working across web and Android, including native media playback where supported.
- To show records, songs, tags, playlists, lyrics, artist pages, and account status.
- To support artists, calculate payable usage, and manage payout readiness.
- To respond to support, device reset, deletion, payment, and rights requests.
- To detect fraud, abuse, chargebacks, suspicious sessions, and unauthorized admin activity.
- To comply with legal, tax, audit, accounting, app store, and payment provider obligations.
5. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information. We share information only where needed to run the service, process payments, provide support, comply with law, or protect rights.
- Payment providers may receive payment and transaction details needed to process or verify payments.
- Google Play may process Android app purchases, refunds, subscription status, app distribution, and app integrity information where Google Play services apply.
- Hosting, database, storage, email, SMS, analytics, notification, and security providers may process limited data for Mountain Melodies operations.
- Artists or authorized admins may see operational catalog, artist, payout, and earnings information relevant to their role.
- We may disclose information if required by law, a valid government request, a court order, payment dispute, fraud investigation, rights claim, or business transfer with appropriate safeguards.
6. Data security
We use HTTPS, protected playback sessions, access checks, role-based admin access, device controls, audit logs, and limited operational access to protect user and artist data. No online service is perfectly secure, so you should keep your phone, SIM card, email, and device lock secure and contact us quickly if you suspect unauthorized use.
7. Retention

8. Account deletion and data deletion
You can request deletion from inside the app through Account, or from the public page at /account-deletion. You can also email [email protected] with the subject "Account deletion request" and include the phone number used for login.
After verifying the request, we will delete or de-identify account data associated with the account where reasonably possible. We may retain records that must be kept for payment disputes, fraud prevention, artist payouts, tax, accounting, legal compliance, security, or proof that the deletion request was handled.
9. Your choices
- You may update your profile and notification choices in the Account area where available.
- You may request correction of inaccurate account or artist information.
- You may request device reset support if playback is blocked by a device lock.
- You may request account deletion as described above.
- You may stop using the service. Stopping use does not automatically delete payment or legal records.
10. Data Safety summary for Google Play
This summary is provided to help users understand the Play Store Data Safety disclosures. The Play Console form should always match the live app and this Privacy Policy.

11. Children
Mountain Melodies is not directed to children. Users should have permission from a parent or guardian where local law requires it before creating an account or making a payment.
12. Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy when the service, data use, law, app store rules, payment flows, or support process changes. The updated version will be posted here with a new date.
